Project Steps
Having a pool during the hot summer months in California is definitely a plus! With each summer our pool toys and supplies increase; that means our patio has become consumed with towels, toys, and pool floats. But my main headache has been our lack of space to hang towels. So I decided to build a simple Pool Towel Rack and Storage Area that rolls!
I could have gone with the easy route of just adding hooks to the exterior side of my house, but I always resist adding extra holes to our home since it's stucco. So making a towel rack with storage was what I did. You can see exactly how I made it over on my blog: A Shade of Teal.
To start you'll want to setup a spray shelter. For this project the Medium Spray Shelter is the perfect size, plus, it pops open in 2 seconds. I ended up setting up the shelter and walked away to prep my Super Finish Max and came back to this...
As you can see it also works great for a tent! My daughters love setting up their toys in the shelter, and who can blame them!
Next, I prepped my : Super Finish Max HVLP Paint Sprayer with exterior semi gloss paint.
You'll also want to use HomeRight's Turn Table, it makes spraying any project so much easier. After you have everything set up it's time to start spraying. I ended up spraying the crates before I assembled them together.
Anytime you work with slats it's always so much easier to spray them, that's why I love using my Super Finish Max Sprayer. After the crates are dry you can finish assembling the pool towel rack and storage unit. Here's the after of my new pool towel rack.
