MINNEAPOLIS — March 18, 2019 — Wagner SprayTech, a market leader in advanced paint applicators, announced today the new Control Pro 130™ Power Tank Sprayer. It features Wagner’s new High Efficiency Airless™ (HEA) gun and tip technology, enabling serious DIYers, handymen and property owners to complete interior and exterior paint jobs much faster and more efficiently than using rollers and brushes.

The High Efficiency Airless™ (HEA) gun and tip technology delivers a softer spray fan pattern, a more consistent finish, and produces up to 55 percent less overspray than conventional airless systems. Minimal overspray means less time and materials are required for taping and masking before spraying, most projects are completed using less paint, and clean-up is easy – simply rinse and flush the system.

Due to the design of the sprayer and the professional-grade gun and tip, the Control Pro 130 Power Tank can spray an eight-foot by 10-foot wall in as little as two minutes. It is a powerful sprayer that makes quick work of painting, while delivering a smooth, uniform finish on surfaces like walls, siding, decks, and fences.

The tank has a capacity of 1.5 gallons, so users can spray unthinned latex or oil-based paint, primer or stain continuously without stopping. It’s also a gravity-fed tank, so priming and clean-up are quick and easy.

“The new Control Pro™ 130 Power Tank takes the intimidation out of airless spraying,” said Jon Beaton, product director at Wagner. “For big jobs, it provides fast coverage with a soft, controllable fan pattern, making it easy for any user to get professional-grade results.”

Key benefits and specs of the Wagner Control Pro 130 Power Tank includes:
• Pro-grade High Efficiency Airless™ (HEA) gun and tip
• Gravity-fed tank design for fast, no-mess priming and cleaning
• Forgiving, soft spray pattern for smooth and consistent coverage
• 55 percent less overspray than conventional airless systems
• Can spray one coat on eight-foot by 10-foot wall in as little as two minutes
• Sprays un-thinned latex or oil-based paints, primers and stains
• 1.5 gallon tank capacity; 25-foot hose for extended reach
• Built-in handles for easy moving and on-unit storage for gun and hose

This new Control Pro 130 Power Tank sprayer is available in-store at most Home Depots, homedepot.com, and at Wagner SprayTech.com. MSRP is $229.99.

Award recognizes tools for precise, efficient performance capabilities

MINNEAPOLIS — Sept. 26, 2018 — Wagner SprayTech, a market leader in advanced paint applicators, recently received a Pro Tool Innovation Award for the Wagner SprayTech FURNO 750 in the Cordlles Power Tools – Heat Gun category.

The Pro Tool Innovation Awards program is hosted annually by Pro Tool Reviews and awards are selected by industry professionals and trade media representatives based on innovation. This year, nearly 300 entries were submitted by more than 60 manufacturers. Winners demonstrated achievement in any combination of the following: innovative features, advanced power delivery, groundbreaking ergonomics, technological advancements, and value.

“Manufacturers are consistently improving their tools. Each year, however, some exceed the norm and develop products that truly deserve recognition,” said Clint DeBoer, executive director of the Pro Tool Innovation Awards. “The Pro Tool Innovation Awards recognize best-in-class products that are ahead of their time.”

Suitable for frequent use, Wagner’s FURNO 750 redefines the user experience with optimized ergonomics, comfort, usability, and safety. It has 117 temperature settings and five fan speeds for exact temperature control between 125°F to 1,300°F. A push-button control allows the user to precisely set the temperature—easily read on the digital LCD display. A memory function saves the last temperature and fan settings, and a cool-down mode safely reduces the temperature and prolongs the ceramic element’s life.

“What our team really likes about Wagner’s FURNO 750 is the combination of 117 temperature settings and LCD display,” reported the Pro Tool Innovation Award judges. “That screen takes the guesswork out of the equation when you need to maintain a specific temperature range to get the job done as efficiently and safely as possible.”

The gun also has side supports to prevent the hot nozzle from touching surfaces when set down, and it includes an integrated stand for safe, upright, hands-free operation. The FURNO 750 comes standard with a curved deflector nozzle, concentrator nozzle, 5-in-1 painter’s tool, and a case.

“We are honored to receive this recognition, especially since it reflects input from professional users who use tools like this every day,” said Jon Beaton, product director for Wagner. “At Wagner, we are committed to continually finding new ways to improve the user experience, so our customers can safely complete jobs with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.”

MINNEAPOLIS — March 20, 2018 — Wagner SprayTech, a market leader in advanced paint applicators, announced today the next generation of FLEXiO™ paint sprayers. There are four new models: Wagner FLEXiO™ 2000 Paint Sprayer, Wagner FLEXiO™ 3000 Paint Sprayer, Wagner FLEXiO™ 4000 Paint Sprayer, and Wagner FLEXiO™ 5000 Paint Sprayer.

“Feedback from consumers drove the evolution of our line of FLEXiO paint sprayers,” said Jon Beaton, product director at Wagner. “We’ve redesigned the iSpray nozzle for a tighter spray pattern that reduces overspray and enables more accurate distribution of paint and stain. We also simplified the settings for easier control and use, and significantly reduced the number of parts for easier cleanup and reassembly.”

The following enhancements have been made to this new line of FLEXiO paint sprayers:
• The spray pattern is 57 percent more concentrated, enabling one-coat coverage and more accurate distribution of paint.
• A numbered paint flow dial gives the user more precise adjustability according to coating type and desired coverage speed.
• The iSpray nozzle has only two parts to clean and reassemble, reduced from seven nozzle parts.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, FLEXiO sprayers apply paint eight to 12 times faster than a brush or roller, and cleanup takes only five minutes. The iSpray nozzle provides even coverage with low overspray and can be adjusted to spray horizontal, vertical, narrow and wide patterns. Powered by Wagner’s exclusive X-Boost turbine, FLEXiO sprayers will apply unthinned latex or oil-based paints, primers and stains for a light-textured, roller-like finish. Users can quickly change from one color or paint type to another with the FLEXiO’s Lock-n-Go™ split-gun design. These sprayers are as quiet as hairdryers and provide complete adjustability and control of air power and material flow, so users can dial in the perfect settings according to the project and working speed.

All FLEXiO sprayers come standard with an X-Boost turbine, iSpray nozzle, 1-1/2 quart paint cup, and Lock-n-Go split gun design.

• FLEXiO 2000 is hand-held with two speeds and one nozzle. See FLEXiO 2000 Video
• FLEXiO 3000 is hand-held with variable speeds and two nozzle types. See FLEXiO 3000 Video
• FLEXiO 4000 is stationary (motor is housed in base on ground) with variable speeds, two nozzle types, and a zippered carrying case. See FLEXiO 4000 Video
• FLEXiO 5000 is stationary with variable speeds, two nozzle types, and an integrated sto rage case for all parts. See FLEXiO 5000 Video

This new line of FLEXiO paint sprayers is available at home improvement stores and online retail websites. MSRPs range from $129.99 to $189.99.

MINNEAPOLIS — September 15, 2017 — This weekend, employees at Wagner SprayTech are volunteering their time and talents to help renovate Blue Water Theatre Company’s new space in Wayzata at 605 Rice St. East, Wayzata, across the street from the Wayzata City Hall.

Using Wagner paint sprayers and tools, they are applying 22 gallons of Sherwin-Williams paint to the ceilings and walls of the main theatre area and foyer, which is being transformed into a 125-seat theatre. As part of the project, Wagner donated the labor and painting equipment, and Sherwin-Williams provided the paint and prep materials.

Blue Water Theatre Company purchased the building from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Minnetonka, which recently moved to a new location in Wayzata. The renovation is expected to be complete in October, and the first performance in the new space will be the Wizard of Oz November 2 – 5.

“Thank you to everyone at Wagner and Sherwin-Williams for making this important part of our renovation a resounding success,” said Charlie Leonard, executive and artistic director at Blue Water Theatre Company. “Support from the business community is incredibly important to our operations and we are honored to be the beneficiary of their support.”

First formed in 2007, Blue Water Theatre Company is a nonprofit “kids first” organization focused on creating outstanding theatre productions that are developed in a safe, accepting, responsive and supportive community. For the students, it is a transformative experience that builds confidence, intellectual curiosity, empowerment and skills that last a lifetime. The theatre puts on 30 productions a year that involve 150-200 students, primarily grades six through 12.

“Giving back to the community is an important part of our culture at Wagner,” said Greg McGuirk, president, Wagner SprayTech Decorative Finishing, Americas. “This project was particularly special and fitting for us, as it gave us an opportunity to help a local Twin Cities nonprofit by doing what we do best – paint.”

Wagner SprayTech employs approximately 250 people at the Plymouth location, and another 50 at the company’s distribution facility in Otsego, Minn. In addition to its Minnesota operations, Wagner SprayTech has one additional North American office in Villa Rica, Georgia.

MINNEAPOLIS — Dec. 12, 2016 — This morning, Wagner SprayTech, a market leader in advanced paint applicators, celebrated the grand opening of the company’s new 212,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center in Otsego, Minn. Wagner moved into the $15 million facility in October 2016, after outgrowing its former warehouse and distribution center in Brooklyn Park, Minn. The facility will handle distribution of all Wagner and Titan products for North and South America.

The formal ribbon cutting was attended by Wagner leaders, employees and local dignitaries. Attendees also went on tours of the new facility and enjoyed a breakfast buffet.

The state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution center includes 5,000 square feet of office space, a workout room and an outdoor patio. The warehouse has 36-foot ceiling height, 26 loading docks that can load up to 15 trucks at a time, and energy efficient heating, air conditioning and LED motion-sensor lighting systems throughout. On the 13 acre property, five acres of prairie grass was retained, enabling the building to blend with the natural landscape and surrounding area. The facility, which has the capability to be expanded by another 50,000 square feet, is located in the Gateway North Business Center at the corner of 70th Street N.E. and Highway 101 in Otsego.

“Our culture at Wagner is driven by a steadfast commitment to innovation,” said Greg McGuirk, president of Wagner SprayTech North America. “We continue to experience strong demand for our products, which offer consumers and professionals the most advanced technologies in the industry. Our new, modern warehouse and distribution center in Otsego will help us support our growing customer base throughout North America.”

Wagner will employ 40-60 people at the Otsego warehouse and distribution center. In addition to employees who relocated from the company’s former Brooklyn Park warehouse and distribution center, Wagner plans to hire new employees to support the operation as business dictates.

MINNEAPOLIS— September 16, 2016 — Wagner SprayTech, a market leader in painting applicators and preparation tools, announced today four new heat gun models: FURNO™ 300, FURNO™ 500, FURNO™ 700 and FURNO™ 750. With updated, easy-to-read interfaces and precise temperature settings, the heat guns offer the broadest temperature range available today, including the hottest (1300F) with the FURNO 700 and 750. They also feature new safety features and ergonomic designs for better balance and comfort.

“Our research indicates that 57 percent of consumers buy a heat gun to tackle a specific project, but within a year, they use it for two to three additional projects around the home,” said Jon Beaton, product director Wagner. “Wagner is the leading provider of heat tools in North America, and these new heat guns make it easier than ever to accurately control the heat, so you can complete tasks faster and more efficiently.” Heat guns are must-have tools for every household with an extensive range of uses for removing, repairing, and shaping, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Home improvement projects, such as removing old paint or floor coverings, defrosting frozen pipes, bending plastic pipes, and drying filler
  • Automotive applications like window tinting, removal of stickers and emblems, dent removal and the restoration of plastic trim
  • Art and craft projects, such as candle making, shrink wrapping and embossing
  • Sports equipment maintenance, like waxing skis and snowboards
  • Electronic thermal repairs such as screen repair on smartphones and tablets, or re-soldering gaming consoles

The new Wagner FURNO heat guns redefine the user experience for comfort, usability and safety. The guns have side supports to prevent the hot nozzle from touching surfaces when set down. They also have integrated stands for safe, upright, hands-free operation. All FURNO models have adjustable temperatures and air flow settings, and a hanging loop for storage.

FURNO 300
This dual temp heat gun is designed for small projects and occasional use with two temperature settings 750°F and 1,100°F, controllable via a slide switch. The FURNO 300 is an affordable tool suitable for many heating applications. MSRP is $24.99. Watch a video of the FURNO 300 here.

FURNO 500
The FURNO 500 heat gun takes the guesswork out of common applications with an LED push-button display that shows temperature and fan settings at a glance. The temperature can be adjusted at 12 settings between 150°F to 1,200°F, and there are two fan settings for optimum heat control. The cooldown mode safely reduces the temperature and prolongs the ceramic element’s life. Accessories with the FURNO 500 include the flare nozzle and a glass protection nozzle. MSRP is $34.99. FURNO 700
The FURNO 700 has 117 temperature settings and five fan speeds for exact temperature control between 125°F to 1,300°F. A push-button control allows the user to precisely set the temperature, which is easily read on the digital LCD display. A memory function ensures the last temperature and fan settings are saved, and a cool-down mode safely reduces the temperature and prolongs the ceramic element’s life. It includes a flare nozzle and a glass protection nozzle. MSRP is $59.99. Watch a video of the FURNO 700 here.

FURNO 750
The FURNO 750 is the ultimate heat gun kit, suitable for both frequent use and specialist projects. It has all of the same features and benefits of the FURNO 700, and includes added accessories of a curved deflector nozzle and a concentrator nozzle, a 5-in-1 painter’s tool, and case for organization, storage, and hands free operation away from a flat surface. MSRP is $69.99. Watch a video of the FURNO 750 here.

Wagner FURNO heat guns are now available nationwide at Home Depot and homedepot.com. They will be available at Menards in October 2016 and at Lowes in January 2017. MSRPs range from $24.99 to $69.99.
